Why a left handed page? Hey, the Boss
is
Left-Handed...Did we have a choice?
This Month's
Left-Handed Hint:
How
to change your computer mouse to be left-handed.
Caution: Do not attempt
this operation without first warning the other people who use your computer. (Believe me, a little "heads up" will
avoid a whole lot of confusion for your right-handed partnert to say nothing of dodging downright (excuse the pun) anger
that may manifest itself in words you wouldn't want the children to hear.
It's simple. First move your mouse over to the left
side of your computer. On your desktop, go to "My Computer". Double click to open it. You'll see stuff like
your Hard Drives (DVD Ram Drive E, Removable Disk G and so on. If you don't see "Control Panel" there, click on the
drop-down menu for "My Computer". Click on "Control Panel" and you'll see items like "Fonts," "Keyboard," and
so on. In this list, you should be able to find "Mouse." Double Click "Mouse" and you'll see "Buttons" and
under Buttons "Switch Primary and Secondary Buttons". Click on that which will put a check in the little box, and Press
"OK". (note: the mouse will be reset, so you have to press "OK" with the forefinger of your Left Hand before "OK"
will work.
And there you have it. (If your back has been aching
when you use the computer, this switch will help.)
Again, caution: Use your new found
power judiciously and don't gloat when you watch right-handers trying to use your left-handed mouse. It's
a great temptation, but we do want world peace which all begins in the home, right?
